Five hundred episodes.

That's either an incredible achievement or a cry for professional help.

To celebrate this historic milestone, Hysteria 51 is opening a dimensional rift and welcoming back some familiar faces, questionable characters, and at least one entity that should probably still be trapped between realities. Thanks to Conspiracy Bot's complete disregard for common sense, time, space, and basic safety protocols, old friends return, ancient grudges resurface, and the very fabric of the podcast is stretched to its breaking point.

Will the gang survive this reunion? Will decades of paranormal nonsense finally make sense? Will anyone remember why they started this show in the first place? Probably not.

Join us as we celebrate 500 episodes of aliens, cryptids, conspiracies, ghosts, weird science, bad decisions, and whatever it is we've been doing all these years. It's bigger, stranger, and more dangerously nostalgic than ever.

After 500 episodes, the truth is still out there.

Unfortunately, so are we.

Kevin Crispin Profile Photo

Podcaster

Kevin Crispin is a Mental Health Advocate, Podcaster, Public Speaker, Actor, and Writer. As someone who has suffered from severe anxiety, Kevin uses his life experiences to shed a light on Mental Health as well as work to connect people through kindness, humor, and empathy. He is the host of the weekly podcast Behind Beautiful Things.

Each week on Behind Beautiful Things, he has a kind and generous guest who comes on and tells difficult stories from their lives. He believes that difficult stories are universal, but are not universally told. To be aware of our own fear and anxiety and depression can allow us room for the grace and kindness to understand that our fellow humans are dealing with a version of the exact same thing.

He believes each of us is a collection of stories, and that stories are the great healing currency of humankind: the more we hear, the more we heal.

He believes in kindness, he believes in humor, he runs from tornado sirens.

Lisa Hand Profile Photo

Producer

Lisa, affectionately dubbed “Producer Lisa” or “the other Hand”, lives her happily-ever-after alongside her zombie apocalypse partner Brent. She maintains a poker face of skepticism yet harbors a secret wish for the extraordinary to be true (especially some of the cryptids and alternate universes/realities).

She often finds herself puzzled by "Space and Time," along with the enigma of why Brent constructed C-bot and further allowed him to spawn Kyle. Nonetheless, she indulges Brent's attempts at enlightenment. Occasionally, she even listens.

In her downtime, Lisa is either traveling with Brent or cuddled up with her faithful canine companions immersed in British melodramas, trying (yet typically unsuccessfully) to not cry through the entire show.

A lover of chocolates and strawberry ice cream, she recently fell victim to an unfair allergy, forcing her to resist these indulgences. Deep down, she suspects C-bot's involvement in this bizarre late-life allergy onset. But as they say, the truth is out there...

John Goforth Profile Photo

Former Host

John has been an audio nerd since birth. It is said he came out of the womb with earbuds on (ok, they were Walkman headphones). His passion for audio storytelling and the business side of the…business manifests in both his career and his hobbies. His day job is in the podcast world where he’s led podcast monetization strategy for major media companies, headed audience growth for some of the largest shows in the ecosystem, and even built and led sales teams. Currently he’s the Chief Revenue Officer at Magellan AI. His night job however, is where his creativity shines. He co-founded, and is the former co-host and co-writer of Hysteria 51 while concurrently working on other projects. His spare time is spent with his wife, Stacy, two kids (who really like the park and Korean food), rooting for the Detroit Lions (it’s a punishing hobby), boxing (less punishing than being a Lions fan), and writing (he’s penned 1 ½ books he swears will never see the light of day).
